Fly Tie-a-thon #3
Saturday April 19, 2008 at Tarheel Fish and Game in Fayetteville, NC.
This event continued the trend of increased participation and more successful fund raising.
Participants again tied flies from 9 am - 9 pm. Other individuals dropped in to socialize or even to tie a few flies. We were excited to see the enthusiasm shown by the numerous youth who came to see what fly tying was all about. When the day was over we totaled about $7000 of donations for the March of Dimes! About 7 dozen flies were sold during the event and another 250 or so were available to be donated to Casting for Recovery. Please see the article in our local paper.
